Kit's tips, game by game.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33RPG · PS5 · Xbox · PC9.6
Kit's tips
- Parrying beats dodging. Dodging is easier to learn, but parrying every hit in an enemy's combo triggers a counterattack.
- Use free-aim shots. They can hit weak points and break shields before you commit your turn.
- Keep cycling Pictos. Use one long enough and you learn it as a Lumina that any character can equip.
Hades IIRoguelike · PC · Switch 29.5
Kit's tips
- Use your Omega moves. Holding attack or special spends magick on a much stronger version.
- Buy Arcana cards early. They're permanent bonuses that make every future run easier.
- Switch routes when you're stuck. The Underworld and the surface reward different builds.
Hollow Knight: SilksongMetroidvania · PC · Switch 2 · PS5 · Xbox9.4
Kit's tips
- Heal in the gaps, not mid-combo. Binding takes silk and a moment of commitment.
- Explore sideways when you're stuck. Pharloom is vertical, but upgrades hide off the obvious path.
- Swap crests and tools. A different loadout can turn a wall of a boss into a fair fight.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance IIRPG · PS5 · Xbox · PC9.2
Kit's tips
- Keep Saviour Schnapps for long quests. It's how you save, so don't drink it all at once.
- Train before you fight. Early combat is far kinder once your skills have a few levels.
- Dress for the conversation. Clothes and cleanliness change how people react to Henry.
Blue PrincePuzzle · PC · PS5 · Xbox9.1
Kit's tips
- Keep notes. Clues carry across days, and the game expects you to remember them.
- Draft for tomorrow, not just today. Some rooms give upgrades that make every future day better.
- Steps are your real currency. Rooms that restore steps buy you more time to explore.
Death Stranding 2: On the BeachAction adventure · PS59.0
Kit's tips
- Plan your route on the map before you leave. Terrain decides everything.
- Build for strangers. Structures you place can help other players, and theirs can help you.
- Use vehicles as soon as you get them. They save hours.
Donkey Kong Bananza3D platformer · Switch 29.0
Kit's tips
- Punch everything. Gold and Banandium Gems hide inside walls, floors and ceilings.
- Treat Bananza forms as tools, not just power-ups. Each one solves a different kind of terrain.
- Rip up chunks of terrain. You can throw them, use them as shields, and even surf on them.
Split FictionCo-op adventure · PS5 · Xbox · PC8.9
Kit's tips
- Talk constantly. Most puzzles need both players acting at the same moment.
- Don't skip the side stories. They're short, optional and often the best part.
- One copy is enough. The Friend's Pass lets a friend join for free.
Arc RaidersExtraction shooter · PC · PS5 · Xbox8.8
Kit's tips
- Use proximity chat. A friendly 'don't shoot' often saves more loot than a gunfight.
- Only bring gear you can afford to lose.
- Listen before you move. ARC machines are loud, and sound tells you where the danger is.
Ghost of YōteiAction adventure · PS58.7
Kit's tips
- Match your weapon to the enemy. Each weapon counters a different type, so swap mid-fight.
- Follow the guiding wind instead of the map. Exploration feels better that way.
- Take the side paths. The best moments are often off the main road.
DispatchNarrative · PC · PS58.7
Kit's tips
- Read every call carefully. The best hero for the job isn't always the strongest.
- Think about personalities, not just stats. Who works well together matters.
- Your choices carry between episodes, so play the version of Robert you believe in.
Doom: The Dark AgesFPS · PC · PS5 · Xbox8.6
Kit's tips
- Parry anything green. Green projectiles can be deflected with your shield.
- Throw the Shield Saw to stagger enemies and break their defenses.
- Stay aggressive. Standing back starves you of the resources melee gives you.
Mario Kart WorldRacing · Switch 28.5
Kit's tips
- Hold items behind you. A trailing shell or banana blocks hits from behind.
- Learn wall rides and rail grinds. They're shortcuts in disguise.
- In Knockout Tour, survive first. Finishing safely above the cutoff beats a risky first place.
Battlefield 6FPS · PC · PS5 · Xbox8.2
Kit's tips
- Play your class. Resupplies, revives and repairs win more matches than kills.
- Use destruction. Blow open a new angle instead of pushing through a doorway.
- Stick with your squad. Spawning on teammates keeps you in the fight.
Elden Ring NightreignRoguelite · PC · PS5 · Xbox7.6
Kit's tips
- Stick together on day one. Splitting up early is how trios get wiped.
- Watch the storm. Plan your route around where the circle is closing.
- Learn your Nightfarer's Ultimate Art. It's often the move that wins the fight.
