Tips & secrets
About the game

A real-time duel where you play cards to drop troops and spells, trying to knock down your opponent's towers in three minutes. It mixed card games, tower defence and MOBAs into a mobile esport.

Kit's verdict · 8.3/10Three minutes of pure tactical tension, held back by a slow and costly card grind. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Clear and readable cards
  • Huge competitive scene

Not so much

  • Upgrades take ages without spending

Play it if competitive players who like quick, tense strategy duels.

Skip it if anyone frustrated by pay-to-progress systems.

Cheats & codes

No cheat codes

Clash Royale doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Think in elixir trades: answering a 5-elixir card with a 3-elixir counter wins you the round even if no tower falls.
  2. Defend first and then counter-push with the survivors; defending troops are free value.
  3. Avoid leaking elixir by sitting at 10; play something, even at the back, if you're full.
  4. Track your opponent's cycle so you know when their big counter is out of their hand.
  5. Elixir doubles in the final minute, so save a strong push for that window.
  6. Pulling enemies into your King Tower, for example with Tornado, wakes it up and adds a third defender.
