Loved
- Addictive random loot
- Five very different classes
- Huge replay value across three difficulties
Not so much
- Tiny inventory means constant trips to town
- Some grinding for runes and gear is extreme
Play it if anyone who loves chasing the next great item.
Skip it if players who want deep story choices or dislike repetition.
Every Diablo II cheat we know
Single-player only. Cheats can turn off achievements and some saves; use them on a spare save.
Play it better
- Clear the Den of Evil in Act 1. Its reward is a free skill reset you can save for later.
- Use the Horadric Cube: three chipped gems of the same type make one flawed gem, and so on up the chain.
- Each difficulty cuts your resistances (by 40 on Nightmare and 100 on Hell in Lord of Destruction), so stack resist gear before moving up.
- Do Anya's quest in Act 5 for a permanent +10 to all resistances on each difficulty.
- Don't spend Charsi's Act 1 imbue reward early. Save it for a good rare-quality base item.
