The sole survivor of Vault 111 steps out into a nuclear-blasted Boston, searching for a kidnapped son. It added proper gunplay and settlement building to Fallout, at the cost of some of its role-playing depth.
Kit's verdict · 7.6/10
Great shooting and looting tied to a weaker RPG than Fallout fans deserved.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Much better shooting than earlier Fallouts
- Power armor feels like a walking tank
- Build and run whole settlements
Not so much
- Dialogue wheel cuts down role-playing choices
- Endless repeat settlement quests
Play it if players who love exploring ruins, looting junk and building bases.
Skip it if RPG fans who want deep dialogue and meaningful choices.

Tips
Play it better
- Pick up junk with adhesive, screws and copper. They're the materials you'll need most for weapon mods.
- Use the 'tag for search' option on components you're short of, so items holding them get marked in the world.
- Grab the Local Leader perk to link settlements with supply lines so they share crafting materials.
- Fusion cores are precious early. Walk around in power armor only for big fights.
- Hunt the 20 bobbleheads and skill magazines. Bobbleheads give permanent stat boosts.
- VATS slows time instead of stopping it, so line up headshots before pressing it in a crowd.
