Tips & secrets
About the game

A giant tear in the sky floods the world with demons, and you lead a new Inquisition to close it. BioWare's biggest Dragon Age is a sprawling open-zone adventure with a strong cast and a fortress you build up.

Kit's verdict · 8.0/10Its companions and dragons are excellent, but it's buried under a lot of busywork. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Great companions and banter
  • Epic high dragon fights
  • Trespasser DLC is a superb epilogue

Not so much

  • Bloated with filler side quests
  • Tactical camera is clumsy

Play it if fans of BioWare characters and big fantasy road trips.

Skip it if players who hate MMO-style fetch quests.

Cheats & codes

No cheat codes

Dragon Age: Inquisition doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Leave the Hinterlands once the main story points you onward; it's a massive time sink early on.
  2. War Table missions run in real time, so queue new ones every time you pass through your base.
  3. An Amulet of Power from the blacksmith resets your skill points if a build isn't working.
  4. Specializations unlock through trainer quests at Skyhold and are a huge power boost.
  5. Crafting your own armor and weapons usually beats anything you find.
  6. Bring a rogue with locks skill, or you'll miss a lot of loot.
