The Chosen One leaves a primitive tribe to find a Garden of Eden Creation Kit and save the village. A bigger, darker, funnier sequel to Fallout, it is still one of the most open and reactive RPGs ever made.
Kit's verdict · 9.0/10
It's a sprawling, filthy, hilarious wasteland that still out-reacts most modern RPGs.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Huge freedom in how you solve quests
- Sharp, dark humor
- Memorable towns like New Reno
Not so much
- Brutal, slow opening Temple of Trials
- Buggy without the community patch
Play it if players who want old-school freedom and don't mind dated interfaces.
Skip it if anyone allergic to isometric turn-based combat.

Tips
Play it better
- You can talk your way past Cameron at the end of the Temple of Trials instead of fighting him.
- Fix up the car in the Den early; it cuts world-map travel time and adds a huge trunk.
- The Gifted trait raises every stat at the cost of skill points, and is strong for most builds.
- Install the community Restoration or unofficial patch to fix bugs and restore cut content.
- Aimed shots to the eyes cause crits and blindness, which win most early fights.
- Sulik and Vic are easy early companions who make the opening hours much safer.
- Speech solves a lot of the main quest, so tag it if you want to avoid fights.
