Doom II: Hell on Earth
Doom II: Hell on Earth is a first-person shooter developed by id Software and released in 1994 as a sequel to the original Doom. The game continues the story, with players battling through Earth after it has been invaded by demonic forces. More DOOM with a bigger gun and meaner monsters, which is all it needed to be.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- The super shotgun is one of the best guns ever made
- New enemies like the Arch-Vile change how fights play
- Huge, ambitious maps in the middle stretch
Not so much
- The 'city' maps feel abstract and confusing
- Some late maps lean on padding and ammo starvation
Play it if anyone who finished DOOM and wanted harder, bigger fights.
Skip it if players who want new mechanics rather than more of the same.
Every Doom II: Hell on Earth cheat we know
Single-player only. Cheats can turn off achievements and some saves; use them on a spare save.
Play it better
- The super shotgun does huge damage up close but reloads slowly. Fire, step back behind cover and fire again.
- Kill Arch-Viles first. They resurrect dead monsters and their flame attack can hurl you into the air, so break line of sight to dodge it.
- Pain Elementals spit Lost Souls. Kill them at range with rockets or the plasma gun before they fill the room.
- Revenant missiles home in on you, so duck behind pillars and let the rockets hit the wall.
- Chaingunners hitscan you instantly and do a lot of damage. Treat them as top priority in any crowd.
- Monster infighting matters even more here. A Cyberdemon will happily wipe out a crowd if they shoot him.
