Tips & secrets
About the game

Journalist Miles Upshur breaks into Mount Massive Asylum with only a camcorder after a whistleblower tip. You can't fight, only run, hide and film. It's a loud, gory, relentless chase game that became a YouTube staple.

Kit's verdict · 7.8/10A gory haunted-house ride that never lets you breathe. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Night vision camcorder is a great idea
  • Chase scenes are intense
  • Short and focused

Not so much

  • Shock gore over real dread
  • Hiding gets repetitive

Play it if players who want nonstop panic and don't mind extreme gore.

Skip it if anyone squeamish or looking for subtle horror.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Night vision eats batteries, so turn it off in lit areas and pick up every battery you see.
  2. Hide under beds and in lockers, but don't peek out too soon; enemies search the room before leaving.
  3. Vault and slide under obstacles while running to break line of sight.
  4. Closing doors behind you slows pursuers down.
  5. Record key events with the camcorder to unlock Miles's notes, which explain what's going on.
