Tips

Play it better

  1. Use the emotion system on purpose: an Inspired Sim writes and paints faster, a Focused one levels logic and programming faster, and a Confident one does better at work.
  2. Turn on Gallery downloads for houses and Sims when you just want to play, since the community has built nearly everything already.
  3. Pick active careers like Detective or Doctor if you want to follow Sims to work, since finishing tasks there speeds up promotions.
  4. Skill books are cheap at the bookshelf and let Sims level skills while standing in place.
  5. Fulfil your Sims' whims and aspiration goals to earn satisfaction points, then spend them on reward traits like Never Weary.
  6. Mood boosting decor counts: a room with high-environment items gives a free happy moodlet.
