A city kid moves to a sleepy rural town just as people start turning up dead after a rumor about a TV channel that only shows at midnight. Part murder mystery, part high-school life sim, Golden is the expanded version of the 2008 PS2 game.

- Calendar system makes every day feel meaningful
- Sharp turn-based combat built around hitting weaknesses
Not so much
- Early hours are slow and tutorial-heavy
- Dungeon layouts are randomly generated and plain

Tips
Play it better
- Hit an enemy's weakness for a 'One More' and knock all foes down for an All-Out Attack.
- Clear each dungeon in one or two visits early in the deadline window, then spend the rest of the time on Social Links.
- Carry a Persona of the matching Arcana when you hang out with a friend to earn extra Social Link points.
- The shrine fox restores SP inside dungeons for a fee, and gets cheaper as its Social Link grows. Do its requests early.
- Watch the weather on the TV. Fog after several days of rain is when the danger peaks.
