Terrorists and counter-terrorists face off in short rounds over bombs and hostages, with one life per round and a money system for buying guns. It started as a Half-Life mod and became the defining competitive shooter.
Kit's verdict · 8.8/10
Simple rules, brutal skill ceiling and maps you'll know by heart for life.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Tense, one-life rounds
- Maps that are near-perfectly designed
- Pure skill decides fights
Not so much
- Very harsh for beginners
- Little to do without other players or bots
Play it if competitive players who love precise aim and team tactics.
Skip it if anyone who wants a story or a forgiving learning curve.

Tips
Play it better
- Stop moving before you shoot. Running ruins your accuracy.
- Fire rifles in short bursts. Holding the trigger sends shots climbing into the sky.
- Counter-terrorists should buy a defuse kit. It cuts the defuse time from 10 seconds to 5.
- You run fastest with the knife out, so switch to it when rotating across the map.
- Crouching makes you more accurate but slower. Use it when holding an angle, not in open fights.
