Adds a level select option to the title menu.Genesis · Enter it quickly as the Sega logo fades in, then press Up from the top of the title menu to reach the new option.
Single-player only. Cheats can turn off achievements and some saves; use them on a spare save.
Tips
Play it better
- Each shield gives a new move: the flame shield dashes, the bubble shield bounces, the lightning shield double-jumps and pulls in rings.
- Giant rings hidden in walls lead to Blue Sphere special stages for the Chaos Emeralds.
- In Blue Sphere, turning a full outline of blue spheres red turns them all into rings.
- Star posts with 50 rings open bonus stages full of shields and lives.
- Tails can fly and carry Sonic when a second player controls him.
