About the game

Donkey Kong and Diddy chase King K. Rool across their island to win back a stolen banana hoard. Its pre-rendered 3D graphics made the SNES look a generation ahead and saved Nintendo's holiday season.

Kit's verdict · 8.4/10A stunning showpiece with a killer soundtrack, a touch shallower than its sequel. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Graphics that still look striking
  • David Wise's legendary music
  • Animal buddies are a blast

Not so much

  • Bosses are repetitive and easy
  • Hit detection can feel slippery

Play it if anyone who wants a gorgeous, tough-but-fair platformer with great music.

Skip it if players who want the precise feel of a Mario game.
