Endless demons to slaughter. Deep customization through Talents, Skill Points, Runes, and Legendary loot. Randomized dungeons contained in a dynamic open world. Survive and conquer darkness—or succumb to the shadows.

Kit's verdict · 7.8/10
It has a gorgeous, grim campaign, but the endgame needed seasons of patches to catch up.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Dark, beautiful art direction
- Best story in the series
- Strong couch co-op
Not so much
- Launch endgame was thin and grindy
- Paid cosmetics and battle pass
Play it if players who loved Diablo II's mood and want a modern take.
Skip it if anyone who hates always-online games and live-service hooks.

Tips
Play it better
- Find Altars of Lilith across the map; each gives permanent stat bonuses to every character on your account.
- Clear dungeons that award Aspects to add their legendary powers to your Codex for reuse.
- Renown for each region unlocks skill points and potion charges for every hero.
- Helltides drop heavily-upgraded gear and materials; join them once you have the basics of a build.
- Use Tempering and Masterworking at the blacksmith to fine-tune endgame gear.
- Paragon boards open at level 50; plan glyph sockets around your main damage type.
