A New York cop who lost everything goes on a slow-motion rampage through a snowstorm of mobsters and drug dealers. It brought Hong Kong-style bullet time to games and told its story through noir comic-book panels.
Kit's verdict · 8.8/10
Bullet time still feels great, and the deadpan noir narration is pure gold.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Bullet time makes every shootout stylish
- Brilliant, pulpy noir writing
- Graphic-novel cutscenes
Not so much
- Nightmare dream levels are frustrating
- Shooting gets repetitive by the end
Play it if fans of action movies, noir and stylish gunfights.
Skip it if players who want variety beyond shooting.

Tips
Play it better
- Shoot-dodge into rooms instead of walking in. Diving in slow motion keeps you alive.
- Bullet time refills when you kill enemies, so chain kills to keep it going.
- Painkillers heal over time, so take one before your health gets critical.
- The dual Berettas are great early, but save shotgun ammo for close-range rushes.
- Throw grenades and Molotovs around corners at groups before they can spread out.
