A blocky open world where you mine, craft, build and survive, with no rules beyond the ones you set. It started as one Swedish programmer's side project and became the best-selling video game of all time.

Tips
Play it better
- Your first night is the most dangerous: punch a tree, make a crafting table and wooden pickaxe, then dig into a hillside and seal the entrance before dark.
- Never dig straight down. You can fall into a cave, lava pool or ravine with no way out.
- Since the 1.18 update, diamonds are most common deep underground around Y level -58; press F3 on Java to see your coordinates.
- Sleep in a bed as soon as you can: it skips the night and sets your respawn point.
- Carry a water bucket. Placing water just before you land cancels fall damage, and it turns lava into obsidian.
- Cure a zombie villager with a splash potion of Weakness and a golden apple to get a villager with huge trade discounts.
- Put a pumpkin on your head before you fight in the End so Endermen don't get angry when you look at them.
