Spyro the Dragon doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.
Tips
Play it better
- Watch Sparx the dragonfly: his color shows your health, gold is full and no Sparx means one more hit ends the life.
- Flame or charge small critters like sheep and chickens; they release butterflies that Sparx eats to heal.
- Charge into enemies wearing metal armor, since flame won't hurt them.
- Glide from high points to reach far ledges, and look for high perches in each hub world that lead to hidden areas.
- Chase down thieves who steal dragon eggs right away, before they escape.
- Talk to every freed dragon; many give hints about hidden areas.
