Mario and Cappy, his living hat, chase Bowser around the world, and a hat throw lets Mario take over enemies, animals and even a T-rex. It's 3D Mario at its most playful and inventive.

Tips
Play it better
- Throw Cappy in mid-air and jump on him for an extra boost. Combine it with a dive to cross huge gaps.
- Shake the controller while throwing Cappy to make him home in or spin around you.
- Talkatoo the parrot names hidden moons in each kingdom, and Hint Toad marks one on your map.
- Each kingdom has its own purple coins. Spend them on costumes and souvenirs, some of which open locked doors.
- Use the backflip and side flip from a standstill to reach ledges a normal jump can't.
- Moons can be bought at the Crazy Cap shop for 100 coins each after the story, which makes the final stretch easier.
