Loved
- Combat that demands you use every tool
- Huge variety of demons
- Mick Gordon's soundtrack is even heavier
Not so much
- Platforming sections slow the pace
- Story and lore get in the way
Play it if shooter fans who want a real challenge and a constant adrenaline rush.
Skip it if anyone who wants to pick one gun and play casually.
Cheats & codes
No cheat codes
Doom Eternal doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.
Tips
Play it better
- Follow the loop: chainsaw for ammo, flame belch for armor and glory kills for health.
- Switch weapons constantly. Quick-swapping between the Super Shotgun and Ballista is a classic combo.
- Shoot weak points like the Arachnotron's turret or Mancubus arm cannons to cripple them.
- Marauders only open up when their eyes flash green. Hit them then with the Super Shotgun or Ballista.
- Dash constantly. Standing still for a second is how you die on harder difficulties.
- Spend Sentinel Batteries in the Fortress of Doom to unlock suits, skins and Praetor upgrades.
