Angry Birds is a 2009 physics-based casual puzzle video game developed by Finnish video game developer Rovio Entertainment. Players control a flock of multi-colored birds on a mission to rescue their eggs from green-colored pigs. Using a slingshot, they launch the birds at these pigs stationed in or around different structures. The goal is to eliminate all the pigs on each level with a limited number of birds.

Simple physics, perfect feel, and a 'one more try' loop that rewired a generation of phones.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Instantly readable physics
- Each bird adds a new trick
- Bite-size levels made for phones
Not so much
- Three-starring some levels is pure luck
- Later versions buried it under ads and boosters
Play it if anyone who loves knocking things over and chasing a perfect score.
Skip it if players who want depth beyond aim, launch and retry.
Cheats & codes
No cheat codes
Angry Birds doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.
Tips
Play it better
- Unused birds are worth 10,000 points each when a level ends, so clearing a stage early is the fastest route to three stars.
- Match the bird to the material: the yellow bird punches through wood, the blue trio shatters glass, and the black bomb bird is the only good answer to stone.
- Tap the yellow bird just before it reaches the structure, not at launch, so the speed boost lands where it counts.
- Aim for the base and the supports rather than the pigs themselves; a collapsing tower kills more than a direct hit.
- Let the scene settle before you fire again, because wobbling blocks often finish the job for free.
- The white bird drops an egg bomb when you tap it and then rockets away, so tap it directly over the target, not ahead of it.
