Tips & secrets
About the game

You tunnel through dirt and pump up underground monsters until they pop, or drop rocks on them. It turns maze-chasing into a sandbox because you dig your own maze.

Kit's verdict · 8.0/10Clever, cute and deeper than the bubblegum look suggests. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Dig-your-own-maze design
  • Rock drops are deeply satisfying
  • Charming music

Not so much

  • Few enemy types
  • Later rounds get repetitive

Play it if players who like strategy mixed with action.

Skip it if anyone who wants constant variety.

Cheats & codes

No cheat codes

Dig Dug doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Monsters are worth more the deeper they are, so lure them down before popping them.
  2. Fygars, the dragons, are worth double when you pump them from the side.
  3. Dig under a rock and lure several enemies beneath it to crush them for big points.
  4. Drop two rocks in a round and a vegetable bonus appears in the center.
  5. Keep pumping a monster to stun it, even if you don't finish it off.
  6. Watch for Fygar's fire, which passes through dirt walls.
