No cheat codes
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.
Play it better
- Cook five of the same healing ingredient together for a full-heal meal, and add a spicy pepper or other buff ingredient for warmth, speed or attack.
- Activate towers as soon as you see them. Each one fills in a chunk of your map and makes a great launch point for gliding.
- Jump or glide and pull out your bow to slow time. It's the best way to land headshots and finish big enemies.
- In a thunderstorm, unequip metal weapons and shields or lightning will hit you.
- Give Korok seeds to Hestu to expand your weapon, bow and shield slots. More slots make breakable weapons much less annoying.
- Rain makes walls slippery. Sit at a campfire to skip ahead until the weather clears instead of fighting the climb.
