CJ comes home to Grove Street and ends up working his way across a whole state of three cities, deserts and countryside. It took the open-world crime game and stuffed it with RPG stats, gyms, planes, haircuts and gang wars, and it became the best-selling PS2 game of all time.

Tips
Play it better
- Hit the gym early and often, because muscle makes CJ hit harder and stamina lets him sprint and swim far longer.
- Eat to stay alive but don't overdo it, since too much fast food makes CJ fat and slow.
- Swim and dive a lot early on to build lung capacity, which saves you in several later missions.
- Take territory from rival gangs around Los Santos for steady cash and backup from your Grove Street crew.
- Do the flight school in the desert before you get deep into Las Venturas missions, since several of them demand flying.
- Save at a safehouse before any mission with a vehicle chase, because a failed chase sends you back to the start.
