Archaeologist Lara Croft hunts pieces of the Scion artifact through Peru, Greece, Egypt and beyond. Its huge 3D tombs, acrobatics and puzzles made Lara one of gaming's biggest stars.
Kit's verdict · 8.6/10
Tank controls aside, the sense of lonely exploration in its tombs is still unmatched.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Vast, atmospheric 3D tombs
- Clever platforming built on a precise grid
- Memorable set pieces and enemies
Not so much
- Stiff tank controls
- Combat is shallow and auto-aimed
Play it if explorers who like slow, careful platforming and puzzles.
Skip it if players who need modern camera and controls.

- Hold walk to stop Lara at a ledge's edge without falling off.
- Press action during a jump to grab ledges. Most deaths come from forgetting to hold it.
- Back-flip and side-flip while firing to dodge enemies like wolves and bears.
