A green, gun-toting hare races across colourful planets to rescue Princess Eva Earlong from the evil turtle Devan Shell. It was the PC's fast, flashy answer to Sonic the Hedgehog.
Kit's verdict · 7.9/10
Fast, bright and full of attitude, a great showcase of what DOS PCs could do in 1994.Kit · Sadkitty Games
Loved
- Very fast scrolling and smooth animation
- Vibrant art and catchy music
- Lots of hidden areas to find
Not so much
- Speed makes it easy to run into hazards blind
- Level design is uneven across planets
Play it if fans of fast 90s platformers and Sonic-style speed.
Skip it if players who prefer slow, precise platforming.

Jazz Jackrabbit doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.
Tips
Play it better
- Run for speed, but slow down near spikes and drops. Many hazards sit just past ramps.
- Carrots restore health, so remember where they are if you need to backtrack.
- Collect different gun power-ups. Stronger shots clear enemy crowds and break blocks faster.
- Shoot suspicious walls and blocks. Many secret areas sit behind breakable scenery.
- Gems and other collectibles add to your score, which earns extra lives.
- Each planet ends with a boss, so save ammo for the final fight.
