Tips & secrets
About the game

Blizzard's colorful hero shooter, now free-to-play with five players a side instead of six. Each hero plays like a different game, and team composition matters as much as aim.

Kit's verdict · 7.4/10Still the most charismatic hero shooter around, but the sequel stripped out more than it added. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Huge, distinct hero roster
  • Gorgeous art direction
  • Moment-to-moment combat feels great

Not so much

  • The promised PvE campaign was mostly cancelled
  • Monetization is far greedier than the original

Play it if team players who like swapping roles and making big ultimate plays.

Skip it if lone wolves who want their own aim to decide every fight.

Cheats & codes

No cheat codes

Overwatch 2 doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Stick with your team. Most losses come from players arriving at fights one at a time.
  2. Swap heroes mid-match when you're getting countered; it's built into the game for a reason.
  3. Take high ground whenever you can, since it gives better sightlines and safety.
  4. Track enemy ultimates. Use yours to answer theirs or to start a fight with an advantage.
  5. As a damage or tank player, protect your healers; a living support is worth more than a risky kill.
  6. Use the Practice Range to learn hero mechanics and ability cooldowns.
