A free-to-play dark fantasy action RPG built by fans of Diablo II for fans of Diablo II. Its giant passive skill tree, socketed gem system and bartering economy make it the deepest build-crafting game in the genre.

Path of Exile doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.
Tips
Play it better
- Follow a proven build guide for your first character; a bad tree can leave you stuck in the endgame.
- There is no gold economy; currency orbs are both crafting tools and money, so don't burn rare ones on early gear.
- Your elemental resistances cap at 75 percent and take a big penalty after Act 5 and again after Act 10, so keep them topped up.
- Vendor three linked red, green and blue sockets to get a Chromatic Orb.
- Grab a movement skill like Leap Slam or Flame Dash early; speed is life in this game.
- Use the official trade site to buy cheap upgrades instead of hoping for lucky drops.
