Tips & secrets
About the game

A shinobi called Wolf serves a young lord in a dark, mythical Sengoku Japan. It traded stats and builds for pure sword-fighting skill, built around clashing blades and breaking an enemy's posture.

Kit's verdict · 9.2/10The purest test of skill FromSoftware has made, and a thrill once it clicks. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Sword clashes feel like a rhythm duel
  • A grappling hook makes exploring fun
  • Bosses are tough but fair

Not so much

  • No summons or easy mode to get past walls
  • Early bosses can stop players cold

Play it if players who love mastering hard fights through pure practice.

Skip it if anyone who wants to grind levels to make bosses easier.

Cheats & codes

No cheat codes

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Deflect by tapping block just before hits land. Deflects fill the enemy's posture bar faster than attacks.
  2. When a red kanji appears, jump on sweeps and use the Mikiri Counter on thrusts.
  3. Use prosthetic tools: firecrackers scare beasts, and the umbrella blocks big attacks.
  4. Collect four prayer beads to make a necklace that raises your health and posture.
  5. Give Gourd Seeds to Emma to add more healing charges.
  6. Divine Confetti lets you hurt ghostly enemies, so save it for those fights.
