About the game

An asymmetric horror game where one player is a killer and four players try to escape by repairing generators. It became the definitive multiplayer slasher game, packed with licensed horror icons.

No cheat codes

Dead by Daylight doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. As a survivor, hit the 'great' zone on skill checks to repair faster and avoid making noise.
  2. Learn loops around pallets and windows to waste the killer's time.
  3. Don't unhook a teammate when the killer is right there; wait for a safe moment.
  4. As a killer, spread hooks across survivors rather than chasing one person.
  5. If you're the last survivor, look for the hatch; it appears when one survivor remains.
  6. Learn the killer's terror radius sound to know when they're near.
