Tips & secrets
About the game

Design and run hospitals that treat comic illnesses like Bloaty Head, Slack Tongue and King Complex. It's a funny, busy management sim with real depth under the jokes.

Kit's verdict · 8.6/10Silly, charming and stressful in the best way. Kit · Sadkitty Games

Loved

  • Very funny diseases and cures
  • Satisfying layout and staff management
  • Steady difficulty curve across levels

Not so much

  • Late levels turn into frantic firefighting
  • Small, finicky interface

Play it if management sim fans who like a sense of humour.

Skip it if players who hate juggling dozens of problems at once.

Cheats & codes

No cheat codes

Theme Hospital doesn't have cheat codes. The tips and secrets below are the next best thing.

Tips

Play it better

  1. Build plenty of GP's offices. They diagnose patients and are the first bottleneck in every hospital.
  2. Place benches, radiators, plants and drinks machines in corridors to keep patients and staff happy.
  3. Hire enough handymen to water plants, clean litter and fix machines before they explode.
  4. Put a staff room in early so tired staff can rest instead of quitting.
  5. Research new diagnosis rooms and cures to raise your cure rate.
  6. Train junior doctors in a training room with a consultant to build up specialists.
