Two siblings fight to stop four powerful gems falling into the wrong hands. Treasure's debut packed in more sprites, explosions and boss ideas than the Genesis seemed capable of.

Tips
Play it better
- The four base weapons combine into 14 different guns, so pair them up and test each one in the first stage.
- Fixed shot lets you stand still while aiming, while free shot lets you move and fire.
- Slide, grab and throw enemies; Gunstar's melee moves are strong enough to beat whole bosses with.
- Pick the order of the first four stages yourself; starting with the mine cart stage is a good warm-up.
- In co-op, players can grab and throw each other, which is handy for reaching bosses fast.
