Call of Duty is a first-person shooter set during World War II, developed by Infinity Ward using a modified id Tech 3 engine. The single-player campaign spans three separate perspectives, with the player controlling American, British, and Soviet soldiers across the European theater. Gameplay emphasizes squad-based combat with AI-controlled allies who support the player during missions, making use of authentic period firearms, iron sight aiming, and a health point system with medkits.

Tips
Play it better
- Aim down the sights with the right mouse button. Hip-fire is wildly inaccurate.
- Lean around corners with Q and E so you show less of your body.
- Stick close to your squad. Allies draw enemy fire away from you.
- There's no sprint in the base game, so move from cover to cover rather than across open ground.
- Crouch or go prone behind cover. Standing in the open on Veteran is near-instant death.
