Mario Kart World
Mario Kart World stitches its courses into one continuous world, and races now drive you between tracks. Twenty-four racers per race makes every item box a small war, and wall-riding and rail-grinding add a skill layer that rewards practice.
Knockout Tour is the star: a long, connected rally where the back of the pack is eliminated at each checkpoint. It's tense, chaotic and brilliant online. Free Roam is pretty but light on things to do, and some connecting roads feel like long straights between the good bits.
As a launch title it does its job perfectly. It sells the hardware, and it'll be at every party for years.

- Hold items behind you. A trailing shell or banana blocks hits from behind.
- Learn wall rides and rail grinds. They're shortcuts in disguise.
- In Knockout Tour, survive first. Finishing safely above the cutoff beats a risky first place.
